Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Commercial Manager located in the Nordics (Europe). This role would be 50% work from home (location is flexible), and 50% travel to site in Finland.
The role involves managing commercial operations, overseeing project budgets, negotiating contracts, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders. The Commercial Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of data center solutions, including meeting timelines, quality standards, and specific client expectations.
This role will suit a Commercial Manager with a professional and proactive manner who has a genuine desire to develop management skills on projects that will incorporate many work activities
College / University / High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in Client Relationship Management.
Experience working in multi-organizational teams.
Excellent knowledge of Google Sheet Products.
Incredible attention to detail to catch errors.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience in contract administration and working within a multi-contract environment.
Ability to follow company policies.
Ability to work independently and part of a team
To take active responsibility for all financial procedures in conjunction with the Head of Commercial.
To suggest trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisal.
Responsible for completion of the valuation process both with the Clients and supply chain including chasing payment of invoices.
To actively promote Red Bear’s philosophy and culture.
Advise clients on procurement routes available.
Manage existing client relationships.
Advise on product selection, specifications and assist with the value engineering exercises.
Advise on selection of Works Contractors carrying out comparisons as needed.
Monitor the information flow both to and from Red Bear Tech to ensure that work undertaken by Red Bear Tech and Works Contractors is fully authorized at all times.
Prepare subcontracts / labour only agreements in line with project requirements
Attend and if necessary chair meetings with the design team and Works Contractors.
Manage the change process in conjunction with the project teams (raising EWNs and Variations in line with contract obligations).
Instruct accounts to pay subcontractors and suppliers.
Close out final account and retention releases in accordance with contract timelines.
Prepare final account reconciliations, create regular budget and price updates, update cost control systems
Complete Monthly reporting including, CVRs, Job Cost Reports, Divisional Summaries, Risk & Opportunity Review and variance analysis
Complete weekly staff allocations for projects
Complete weekly cashflow updates incl reforecasting, review of future change, receipts and payments
Provide feedback to trade contractors on completion of projects
